Fall Essentials:

The transition into a new season can be rough (schedule changes, getting back to work, etc.), and the ever-changing fashion world doesn’t always make the move easier. Although fashion may be fickle, you don’t have to be stuck worrying about what to wear this fall. Here are three key pieces that will have you smoothly sailing in style, right into fall…

The little black dress (aka LBD) has always been a staple for any woman’s wardrobe, and this season is no exception. However, designers have been showing a more feminine silhouette on the runways, in lieu of the tighter, shorter versions that were popular during the summer months. Simple black sheath dresses have been made popular by the infamous Audrey Hepburn, and they are now seeing a revival. Some of the newer dresses have a bit of hardware (think exposed zippers up the back or a little pouf in the sleeve), but they still send the same message: clean lines, and effortlessly chic.

To add some flair to a sheath dress, it’s time to start seeing spots…leopard is everywhere for fall and can be a perfect accessory. In order to wear the print without overkill, starting with just one piece never fails. A leopard shoe (we love the Maurie and Eve wedges, and the Elizabeth and James loafers) or scarf will add just the right amount of flair without distraction. However, if the animal print seems too bold for your taste, you can always integrate it into your wardrobe by way of a Hanky Panky leopard thong. Although it will be visible to your eyes only, you just may end up liking the print!

In order to complete the list, it is crucial to have a jacket for fall. Despite the fact that they add fashionable adornment to an outfit, they will also keep you warm when the temperatures drop. A crisp black blazer will work with anything and everything, dressed up or down, and a camel trench coat will be in style forever. Mason’s double-breasted camel trench will look perfect worn open, with an LBD and leopard accessories, or can easily become the focal point of an outfit, cinched at the waist and worn on its own. Both jacket options make for the perfect topper to any outfit, and their classic silhouettes keep things right on trend.

With this list taken care of, entering a new season has never looked so good!
